Founded in September 2005, the Company, "CommeTesPieds!” was created from the will of a handful of dancers to promote contemporary dance, with a wider audience, through combining choreographic projects and awareness of the arts.

“Create, watch, do and practice” - this is our motto.

Mainly located in Savoy, it is supported by the Rhone-Alpes Region, the General Council of Savoie and the Tarentaise County of Vanoise for several years now. In order to draw bridges between amateurs and professionals, but also between artistic disciplines, the company engages in many activities in educational, social, cultural and artistic fields:

  • Creation of shows for a public of all ages
  • Impromptu performances
  • Trainings
  • Choreographic workshops in schools, from kindergarten to high school
  • Artistic interventions in early childhood institutions (nursery schools)
  • On-going classes for all ages and levels

The creative work of the company is part of a contemporary aesthetic, enriched by the respective artistic and personal experience of each dancer. The meetings, inter and external travels, communication, cultural blendings, sharing and paths that cross(personal, psychological, etc..) Are all sources of inspiration that appear in the company’s work.

Originally formed classical dancer in the DOM TOM and Hong Kong, Emilie Sivi VOLCK began her dance studies at INSA Lyon in 1997 and worked particularly with Denis Plassard and François Veyrunes. After graduating, she finally chose the path of dance and studied at the “Centre National de la Danse de Lyon” and danced for various companies in Rhone-Alps before becoming assistant choreographer for Robert Wood based in New York in 2005. The same year, she founded the company “Comme Tes Pieds!” and settled in Savoy where she developed many projects of dance education. In 2009 Emilie received the French national Diploma of State for Dance (diplome d’etat) while continuing to create on the stage.

"Nourished by nearly 20 years of expatriation overseas and abroad, my artistic sensibility was forged in contact with a variety of cultures, from the rhythmicity of Melanesian dances to the fluidity of taiqijuan. Trained initially in ballet, I later found in contemporary aesthetics gestural freedom conducive to multiple influences which I held within myself. Today I am a performer, educator and speaker in many structures in Savoie and Isère.  I try to share my atypical taste of eclecticism and contrasts. Fluidity and tone, poetry and humor, creativity and physical commitment- I find pleasure in movement for everyone and use dance as a way to open the world to others. "
